Welcome to Simplifyer (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Simplifyer’s Platform, including our mobile application, web application, dashboard, website, and any related services (together, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree to be bounded by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We are committed to operating the Platform in a fair, transparent, and lawful manner and we ask that you do the same.

Simplifyer is a registered trademark and a Platform operated by Virtuosismo D’Águia Unipessoal Lda, a company incorporated and registered in Portugal with company registration number 518090760. For the purposes of these Terms of Service, Simplifyer, "we", "us", or "our" refers to Virtuosismo D’Águia Unipessoal Lda.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding agreements to use Simplifyer. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this eligibility requirement.

Our Services

Simplifyer enables users to:

  • Upload and manage digital and physical purchase receipts;

  • Organise and manage product warranties;

  • Receive personalised financial insights that are not financial advice;

  • View advertising content tailored to preferences and receipt data;

  • Contribute to anonymised behavioural clusters for market insights shared with selected third parties.

We may update or modify features of the Platform from time to time at our discretion.

User Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when creating and maintaining your account.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you must not:

  • Upload false, fraudulent, or manipulated receipt data;

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or tamper with the Platform;

  • Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or data-mining tools;

  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform’s functionality, servers, or networks;

  • Infringe upon intellectual property, data protection, or privacy rights of others;

  • Engage in abusive, discriminatory, or unlawful conduct when interacting with other users or Simplifyer staff.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Data and Privacy

Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your data, including:

  • Use of AI to generate insights and recommendations;

  • Display of personalised advertising (with your consent where required);

  • Generation of anonymised behavioural clusters for third-party insights.

You can manage your privacy preferences and consent settings at any time within the Platform.

Advertising and Commercial Use

Simplifyer may display advertising content based on your preferences, receipt data, and behavioural insights, always in accordance with applicable laws and your consent.

We may also generate aggregated, anonymised data insights (never identifiable personal data) for selected third-party partners.
If you do not agree, please do not use Simplifyer.

Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform, including but not limited to text, graphics, software, logos, images, databases, and proprietary algorithms, is owned by or licensed to Simplifyer and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, create derivative works from, or exploit any content of the Platform without our prior written consent.

User-Generated Content

If you submit content (such as reviews or feedback) to Simplifyer, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not violate any law or infringe any rights.

Termination

You may stop using the Platform and delete your account at any time via the Platform settings.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or harmful activity, or act in a manner inconsistent with the intended use of the Platform.

Upon termination, we will handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • The accuracy or completeness of AI-generated insights;

  • Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the Platform;

  • Compatibility with all devices, systems, or software.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

We provide the Platform for personal, non-commercial use only.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Simplifyer shall not be liable to you for:

  • any indirect or consequential loss or damage;

  • loss of data or content (except where required under applicable consumer law);

  • loss or damage caused by your own failure to keep your account secure or your device protected;

  • any temporary unavailability of the Platform or errors that do not materially affect its core functionality.

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents, or subcontractors, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

If we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable.

Loss or damage is foreseeable if either it is obvious that it will happen or if, at the time you agreed to these Terms, both we and you knew it might happen.

Modifications to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in applicable laws, our services, or our business practices.

If we make material changes, we will notify you via the Platform or email. Continued use of the Platform after such changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Portuguese Republic, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You and Simplifyer agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Loures, Portugal.
